Do you ever think of virtual reality based world like one framed in movie Ready Player One, where you can create your own world, play, interact with other like social media? In Ready Player One movie, humanity uses the VR software OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation) to escape the desolation of the real world. This fantasy is now becoming true to some extent by Facebook’s recent announcement.
On Oculus Connect 6 Conference, Facebook introduced a new Social Virtual Reality World Horizon coming to the Oculus Quest and Rift Platform In 2020. Facebook Horizon will be a new social experience in VR where you can build your own worlds with easy-to-use tools (no coding skills required) and set for Beta Launch in 2020. However, Facebook focuses on that new VR experience, the company will shut down Facebook Spaces and Oculus Rooms on October 25. But Oculus remain as small part of Facebook services with it’s core social networking functionality.
In Horizon, you will create your own world, experience anti-gravity, distance spanning, genre bending games. Avatar support, Multiple games and many more updates will suppose to come. Everyone will have power to create their own world and activities. Horizon is going bigger than currently enabled Facebook Spaces or Room to support ample of activities and games.
